To Renovate or To Raze...Sometimes That is the Question

BARNSTABLE PROJECT

Custom Built Window Seat
A window seat, custom built on site by Ultimate Trim & Stairway Creations, Inc., is topped with a slew of silk pillows from Pier 1. The walls and ceiling throughout the living area and great room are painted with C2’s ‘Hailstorm’ available at Hubbard Paint & Wallpaper in Falmouth, Hyannis and South Dennis.

Sunroom Furnishings
This seaside sunroom is furnished for comfort with a white wicker sofa, cocktail table and sisal area rug all from Barbo’s Wayside Furniture in Dennisport.

Open Kitchen
The homeowners designed their kitchen to accommodate multiple cooks with a custom center island built by Lewis & Weldon in Hyannis. The fixtures are the Vinnata line from Kohler. The white subway wall tiles are from Cape Cod Tileworks in Harwich Center, the granite countertops, called ‘Blues in the Night’, and marble surrounds on the window, ‘Bianco Carrerra’, are from Atlantic Marble & Granite in East Falmouth.

Master Bedroom
Kathy Ford went with a high/low mix of furnishings in the master bedroom. The bed is from the high-end Lexington Furniture, in Saugus and Natick, and the nightstands are from Pier 1, Hyannis. The linens are all from Bed Bath & Beyond and the lamps came from Home Goods, both also in Hyannis. The wall color is ‘Monday Morning’ by C2.

SOUTH YARMOUTH PROJECT

Fireplace
This custom made fireplace was given a beachy feel with a cobblestone surround in a shade called ‘Honey Onyx’ from Cloutier Supply Co. in Hyannis. The mantle, painted with Benjamin Moore’s ‘Atrium White’, was designed by Erik Tolley and constructed by M.J. Nardone Carpentry.

Kitchen Cabinetry
The semi-custom maple cabinetry was designed by ERT Architects for Woodharbor Cabinetry. The door style is Cape May, drawer style is Manor Flat and the finish is Champagne with a coffee glaze.

Master Bedroom
In the upstairs master bedroom, Benjamin Moore’s Ocean Air, available at Hubbard Paint & Wallpaper in Hyannis, gives the room a real seaside feel. The homeowners purchased the furniture through a friend on Marco Island, Florida, and had it shipped to the Cape.

Guest Bath
The walls in the upstairs guest bath are painted with Ice Mist from Benjamin Moore, the floor tile is a jade colored tumbled marble in a cobblestone shape. In the shower, the matte white tile is by ‘Florida Tile’ and the glass tiles are ‘Precious Gems’ from ‘Elements’ in the ‘River Stone Medley’ color, all from are from Cloutier Supply. The glass shower enclosure is by Glass House in West Yarmouth.
